Hi everybody!
Yep. It’s that time again. That joyous time when a socially awkward keyboard monkey tells you about their new series. All done while looking at you with imploring puppy dog eyes that say, “Please, like my books.”
Wait! It won’t be terrible. I promise! Yes, in the back, I hear you. Stop talking about me and tell you about the book. Well, here we go!
Terry Williams, socially anxious computer programmer, gets “gently” isekaied to another world by Truck-kun to fulfill his role as the prophesied hero. Yes, he must lead the fight against the army of evil! When presented with this call to glory and destiny…Terry gives it a hard nope and runs away. Literally. Why? Because hero-ing is hard! And painful! Mostly painful.
Of course, as our wayward transplant soon discovers, surviving in a world populated by as many tropes as people is no easy task. But he does have one ace up his sleeve. He knows the tropes! Misspent years of consuming books, manga, and anime have uniquely prepared him to sidestep the pitfall traps of fate that will lead back to his destined fight against this army of evil. Or, so he hopes…
Join Terry as he does his level best to subvert every trope, all while trying and failing to avoid anything that even smacks of socializing.
