Hi, it’s me, Ember Holt, smut peddling degenerate, here to revive the corpse of J.D. Astra to promote the relaunch of Zero.Hero!
Four college-aged girls Sailor Moon style transform into their D&D characters to fight crimes and slimes in the city of Denver (then in Italy for book 2, and in another dimension in outer space for 3…). Imagine if One Punch Man (there is a Saitama-inspired mentor character!) and My Hero Academia did a Fusion style dance with a tabletop RPG.
The result would be Zero.Hero.
There’s a tentacled eyeball familiar named Gary, and the girl who transforms into the tree ogre is always ripping out of her shirt like the Hulk. It’s a weird good time, is what I’m trying to say.
On a more emotional note, the third book in this series was never published anywhere but Yonder (what’s that? never mind, it’s gone now). It was also the very last book I wrote as J.D. Astra. There were a ton of feelings (eeew gross!) wrapped up in finishing this series off and saying farewell to Astra, and hello to Holt.
Oh noooo, the spell I cast to inhabit Astra’s bones is wearing off, and I’m fading…
Read Zero.Heroooooooo
