Happy Dungeon Crawler Carl day everyone!
Matt Dinniman is taking over the world one book at a time, and it’s amazing to see. More and more readers are being introduced to LitRPG through his work, and that’s a great thing for all of us swimming out here in the deep end of Progression Fantasy.
We are fresh back from our annual writer’s retreat. Every year, the authors at Shadow Alley get together with the OPS team to talk shop, play games, and generally stay up too late in a cabin in the woods. Not everyone can make it, but we had a great crew, and people came in from all over. A few long drives later, we are home and ready to announce the release of Inferno Girls, Book 3 of Aaron Michael Ritchey’s Juniper Wars series.
It’s a little different from our usual lineup, a post-apocalyptic western that falls somewhere between Lonesome Dove and Mad Max. Wherever it falls on the genre list, it’s 100% Aaron, who was the co-author of Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons and Audit Team Six, along with writing scores of other novels on his own, and he recently celebrated his 85th book written.
We’ve got plenty more coming for you this month, new audio for 100th Run, and the next Isekai Terry. The Unintended Cultivator: The Ascendant Edition Kickstarter has 17 days to go, and we are already well into our second stretch goal. Every copy will now come with a fully illustrated slip-cover featuring Sen and Falling Leaf.
Once you’re finished burning through A Parade of Horribles, new adventures will be waiting for you.
Welcome to the Juniper—where nothing stays buried and trouble always catches up.
In the lawless frontier of 2058, three sisters fighting to save their family ranch discover a fertile boy—a miracle in a world ravaged by a sterility epidemic. As they navigate the dangerous Juniper territories, they must protect their find from an inhuman army intent on seizing him.
“Mr. Ritchey’s brilliant turns of phrase, magical world-building, and vivid imagination made me fall in love with and CARE ABOUT these characters and their journey.”
“…fast-paced and TOTALLY unique.”
“Young adult dystopian post-apocalyptic steampunk sci-fi western…”
“This book is what happens when the author has an overabundant love for all genre fiction.”
“It doesn’t matter to me what shelf a bookstore puts this one, YA, Dystopian, Western, Sci Fi, Speculative Fiction… I will recommend it to anyone…”
“If you are a fan of Rebecca Roanhorse and her near-future fabulist American Indian books, you’ll love Ritchie’s stuff.”
